1. What We Collect

When you use VTubeMe, we collect:

  • Account info — name, email, and profile picture from your Google or Discord account via OAuth.
  • Photos — selfie photos you upload for avatar generation.
  • Avatar data — generated 3D model files (GLB, VRM) and thumbnails.
  • Payment info — processed by our third-party payment processor (Stripe); we do not store credit card numbers.
  • Checkout context — when you start a checkout, the type of device (phone, tablet or computer), your browser's time zone and the country that time zone belongs to, so we can see where payments fail. We do not store your IP address or your browser's full identification string for this.
  • Language preference — whether our pages and emails should be in English or Japanese, taken from your browser or from our Japanese pages.
  • Usage data — basic analytics such as page views and feature usage.

2. How We Use Your Data

  • Generate and store your 3D avatars
  • Process payments via our third-party payment processor
  • Send transactional emails (receipts, account notifications)
  • Improve the Service

3. Photo Processing

Selfie photos are sent to the MetaPerson Creator SDK (by itSeez3D / Avatar SDK) for avatar generation. Photos are processed in accordance with Avatar SDK's privacy policy. We do not use your photos for training AI models, advertising, or any purpose other than generating your avatar.

4. Third-Party Services

  • Stripe — payment processing
  • Avatar SDK / MetaPerson — avatar generation
  • Google, Discord — authentication via OAuth

Each third-party service operates under its own privacy policy.

5. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored on secured servers. Avatar files are stored in isolated user directories. We use HTTPS encryption for all data in transit. Access to production systems is restricted.

6. Data Retention

Your account and avatar data are retained as long as your account is active. You can delete individual avatars at any time. To delete your account and all associated data, contact us at support@vtubeme.com.

Files you upload to the converter tools are deleted 7 days after you upload them. The converted file is yours to download from My Conversions for as long as you want it, unless you refund the conversion; a converted file that has never been downloaded is removed 30 days after the upload, and the result of a refunded conversion 7 days after the upload. A conversion still waiting for your answer keeps its file until you answer.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access your personal data
  • Request deletion of your data
  • Export your avatar files
  • Withdraw consent at any time by deleting your account

8. Cookies

We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

9. Children

The Service is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

10. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
