Free 3D avatar tools
Browser-based utilities for VRM and 3D avatar files. Everything runs locally — your models never leave your browser.
VRM Viewer
Preview any .vrm or .glb avatar in your browser: inspect metadata and license, test expressions, take screenshots.
Open tool
FBX → VRM Converter
Convert rigged FBX characters into VTubing-ready VRM with humanoid bone mapping and MToon materials. First conversion free.
Open tool
GLB/glTF → VRM Converter
Turn a rigged GLB, glTF or Sketchfab ZIP — including a saved Ready Player Me avatar — into a working VRM for VSeeFace, Warudo and VNyan.
Open tool
VRM → FBX Converter
The reverse direction: turn a .vrm back into a binary FBX — full rig, blendshapes and embedded textures — for Unity, Unreal or Blender.
Open tool
VRM 1.0 ↔ 0.x Converter
Switch a VRM between 1.0 and 0.x in the browser — 0.x for VSeeFace, 1.0 for Desktop Mate. Bones, expressions and springs intact.
Open tool
VRM Optimizer
Texture compression (50–90% smaller) plus morph-safe polygon reduction to VRChat rank targets, with a free built-in rank checker.

Which one do you need?
All of these work on the same kind of file but solve different problems. Find the row that matches what you are actually stuck on.
Someone sent you a .vrm and you want to see it
VRM Viewer
Opens the model, shows who made it and what the license permits, and lets you test expressions before you commit to using it.
You have a rigged FBX character and need a VRM
FBX → VRM Converter
Our fbx to vrm converter maps the humanoid skeleton, converts materials to MToon and outputs a VRM 0.x file that VTubing apps load directly.
You saved a Ready Player Me .glb before the shutdown
GLB/glTF → VRM Converter
Same pipeline, GLB input: your avatar becomes a standard VRM that VSeeFace, Warudo and VNyan open directly.
You need your VRM as FBX for Unity, Unreal or Blender
VRM → FBX Converter
Exports a binary FBX with the rig, blendshapes as shape keys and textures embedded — one self-contained file.
VSeeFace or Desktop Mate refuses your .vrm over its version
VRM 1.0 ↔ 0.x Converter
VRoid 2.x writes VRM 1.0 and VSeeFace reads only 0.x; Desktop Mate's avatar loader wants 1.0 while most models are 0.x. Drop the file — its own version decides the direction.
VRChat rates your avatar Poor or Very Poor
VRM Optimizer
Compresses textures and reduces polygons without breaking blendshapes, and tells you which rank you have landed on.
Common questions
Do my files get uploaded?
The viewer and the optimizer run entirely in your browser — the model is never sent anywhere. The FBX converter is the exception: conversion runs Blender on our server, so that file is uploaded, converted and handed back.
What costs money and what doesn't?
The viewer is free and unlimited. In the optimizer, analysis, the VRChat rank checker and previewing results are free; downloading the optimized model costs 1 credit. FBX conversion costs 1 credit per successful conversion. Your first credit is free on signup; packs of 3 for $7.99 or 8 for $14.99 are shared between the two tools.
Why did my FBX fail to convert?
Almost always because the file has no skeleton. A static mesh cannot become a rigged VRM: the format requires humanoid bones — hips, spine, head, arms and legs. We check for them in your browser before the upload starts, so you find out before spending anything. Mixamo, Unreal, Unity and MetaPerson bone naming are all recognised.
A conversion failed. Was I charged?
No. Failures are not charged, and a credit spent on a conversion that then failed is returned automatically.
Which formats and VRM versions are supported?
The viewer opens VRM 0.x, VRM 1.0 and plain .glb. The converters take rigged FBX, GLB, glTF or a ZIP of a glTF folder, and output VRM 0.x, which every major VTubing app reads. The optimizer works on VRM files.
